Sharpening Iron to Live Second

My Year in Review (2015)

We are coming to the end of another life changing year. When I look back over the past twelve months of 2015, it has been quite a journey for us all.

My Year in Review (2015)

As I reflect back over 2015 I have already started to lean forward into 2016. Nothing happens without a plan, and it looks like it will be another amazing year for the record books just as this past year has been. Before I get too far ahead it is best to take stock in the humbling events that 2015 brought us through.

I wrote about a hundred blog posts, had numerous guest bloggers join me and share their stories along the way. Thousands more readers visited my blog this year versus last, and many of you have commented and shared your thoughts. I was humbled throughout the year as you shared the posts with your friends and family both in person and on social media.

You joined me as I traveled to Haiti on my first mission trip, and supported me as I fought writers block as I wrote my first book. You were by my side as I finally graduated college and faced numerous fears and obstacles. Without you, my readers none of this would matter, better yet much would likely never have happened. As we close out the year I simply want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. I look forward to sharing more of my story with you and, in turn, hearing about yours in the months and years to come.

One way that you can help make 2016 even a more exciting year than 2015 would be if you could fill out my annual reader survey. There is about a week left before the survey will close and I will pick a winner of the Amazon gift card package, likely to be valued around $100. The ten question survey will help me provide the kind of content you want in the future.

In addition, the continual support in reading, commenting and sharing will also provide me valuable ongoing feedback throughout the year. I look forward to finding new ways in the new year to continue to serve you, my readers. I would love to hear how your year has been, both good and bad, I would love to hear.

Yes, 2015 was a monumental year, and one I will always be grateful for. My husband (truly my better half) came to accept the Lord Jesus as his personal Savior, and has done an about-face in his life. He astounds me almost daily, as his ears are attuned to everything around him. He looks at the obstacles in life and the trivial set backs and realizes the enemy (Satan) is just as real as God, and we are continually being put through the fire, or burnished, to become God’s chosen people. His magnanimous behavior is shining forth in everything. The metamorphosis into an entirely different person is evident to all our family and friends.

God is so good, and YES, He does answer our prayers. We are looking forward to 2016 and the challenges it brings and the opportunities we have to share Jesus with everyone we encounter.

    • It sounds like it has been quite a year for you and your family Candace!

  • Glad I got to meet you last year.
