OtterBox Symmetry Innovation and Protection

A couple of months ago I wrote about the next big thing being here. When you buy the next big thing usually you want to protect it.

Whether it be a shiny new Mac, A new car or in this case a new phone, protection is key. Sure they come with warranties and you can buy insurance that many times is just for peace of mind. Sometimes that is just not enough. Depending on the item sometimes it takes the work of otters to protect your purchase.

The day I bought my Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge I gave up some protection. Although I had a lifetime replacement warranty on the protection of my old S3. That protection was not transferable. The day the edge came out the case options were very limited. I mean sure I could have bought some knock off brand and run the risk of loss of functionality, or worse inadequate protection. I settled for a flip cover made by Samsung for the Edge.

Being that the case was made by Samsung for Samsung gave me some comfort, just not otter-ably preferable. After a few weeks of using the case and a couple of drops, I become aware of the comfort I was missing. I contacted OtterBox to inquire about whether the Otters were designing a case for the S6 Edge. To my dismay I was told due to the curved technology of the Edge it was unlikely.

Hurt and frustrated I began my search for a OtterBox alternative. There were many

Chew Chew Food Co. Food Truck

I am a fan of food trucks. They come in all shapes, sizes and delicacies. A food truck is a flavorful adventure on  wheels. The food you get on these mobile diners is full of creativity and dreams. Where else can a culinary artisan serve a different public every day without the expense of brick and mortar. Yesterday was an unusual day where I did not have my normal leftovers for lunch. Being in a city that has food trucks of all delicacies variety is often available.  I work in an area of town where most days a truck or two is nearby. Today was one such day. I looked up the JaxTruckies Facebook page to see where the trucks were for the day. A truck by the name of Chew Chew Food Co. was my featured dining establishment on wheels. I walked over a block to check them out. Upon arrival the truck parked alongside the empty street of EverBank Plaza was a cargo truck with a reddish paint job. I walked up to the window, curbside and perused the menu for the day on the chalkboard. Unique items like lobster corn dogs, Korean BBQ ShortRib Melts, Carnitas Burritos and more. This was not your average greasy diner on wheels. After a brief discussion with the gentleman in the window I settled for the General Tso’s Chicken Tacos. Sounded unusual enough with a flavor of safety. Where else will you find crispy chicken breast tossed in a house made General Tso’s sauce. Accompanied by Sesame […]

Every Family Needs a War Room

Recently I had the pleasure of pre-screening the movie War Room by the Kendrick brothers.

Movie premiers are usually full of people that have never heard of the movie, writers and media. This premier was a little different. Imagine a premier where the packed theater is full of pastors and bloggers. What a great way to start a grassroots campaign for a movie that matters.

War Room is a movie for Christians and non-christian alike. It is a movie for all ages. It is a movie that is needed for our hurting nation.
The Kendrick brothers usually reach new heights with each movie they produce. The War Room is no exception.

The family-friendly movie (rated PG) explores prayer and the role that is plays peoples’ lives. Tony and Elizabeth Jordan, are your typical American couple who seemingly have it all. Tony has a great job, provides a nice house and the finer things for his wife and daughter. Like many families appearances can be deceiving. Their marriage is at the brink of destruction from pride, greed and lust as Tony is tempted while out on the road.

The Jordan family has become the battle line with Elizabeth (Priscilla Shirer) and her daughter fighting a fight that they can only win with Tony’s help. With the help of Miss Clara (Karen Abercrombie), an older, wiser woman, Elizabeth discovers she can start fighting for her family through prayer. Elizabeth begins the journey of taking back her family from the brink of disaster. She confronts not only Tony
