Angels Do Walk Among Us, This I Have Seen

Ever hear that voice in your ear that tells you to “slow down?” What about the one that whispers “not now?” Or the one where words come out of your mouth but you don’t know where they came from, yet they were beautifully perfect at that moment? It is in these moments that I believe angels do walk among us.   Many would like to believe that when our loved ones leave us that they look down on us from heaven. Holding onto the memories of their earthly bodies, as they dance in the ethereal clouds with our Lord. I ask, do they only look down or are they still with you in spirit? Miracles happen each and every day if only we slow down enough to pay attention. Click To Tweet When Jesus ascended to heaven, he promised the Holy Spirit would return in his place. A spirit that would guide us as we spread the gospel throughout the world. How can this Holy Spirit spread amongst all of us, to each end of the earth? What if the Holy Spirit came down and touched each of us through our baptism and stayed with us. The Holy Spirit transformed and transfigured into the angels of our loved ones. When you speak the words, your mother used to say or do something only your grandfather could have done. Perhaps it’s the simple smile of a baby reflecting the eyes of one you lost too soon. Or a moment that feels familiar, and safe as if […]

5 Steps in Achieving Your Dreams

Ever over hear someone sharing their dream just to have someone else snuff it out before it even gets started? This happened to me and it got me to thinking, what would I do if someone stole my thunder and rained on my parade before the floats and balloons made it to the street.  I overheard a conversation between someone who I greatly respect and consider a mentor and a complete stranger.  She was pleading her case and what caught my attention was when she said “it just takes one spark, I am not sure why everyone is so quick to snuff it out.” Songs have been sung, books written, movies produced, even in my own city there is a now annual event

Time to Get Strength Through Weakness !

“In my weakness you have been so strong.” – Decyfer Down ‘Scarecrow’ When is the last time as a man, you have admitted that you were weak?  No way why would you do that, that is not what men do, we just suck it up and move on… right? Imagine a world where you come home from a hard day at work and can just give in to the urge to scream, yell, cry and pout with no judgment no embarrassment.  Guess what you can, no matter if you are married or single, you are never alone in the battle of being a man.  We have the opportunity everyday to start anew and unburden ourselves in the cross and claim the healing power that was promised by the way that holds us up when we are weak. Abandon the macho persona for a moment, open your mind to open your heart and open a Bible.  In the words of our father there is everlasting life, forgiveness and understanding.  Regardless of what your friends, your bro’s say about it a man that is able to forgive himself enough to open the Word and dive in is more manly, mature and strong than anyone trying to make it through this life alone. Open up the Book, put the armor of Christ on and you will feel a freedom and renewed energy that will enable you to lead your family, friends and community in ways you never could have dreamed of.  Put your hands up and give in […]
